Policy
Confidentiality:
All information shared in the counseling relationship is confidential. Federal law requires that information shared cannot be disclosed to anyone without your written consent. There are three exceptions: 1) if you are a physical danger to yourself or to others. 2) you disclose the abuse of a child or elderly person 3) by court order.
Fees:
The fee for an individual, couple or family counseling session (50 minutes) is $100.00. Your fee is due and payable at the time of each counseling session unless you have made different arrangements. Even though you may have health insurance coverage, you are responsible for your share of the fee. I believe that everyone has a right to therapy and offer sliding scale for individuals who are in need of services.
Insurance:
I do accept most insurance and as a courtesy will contact your insurance company for coverage and billing. However, I cannot accept responsibility for collecting an insurance claim or for negotiating a disputed claim if the company fails to reimburse me. Insurance reimbursement is a contract between you and your carrier.
